Good Morning Reception.
Today it is Wonderful Wednesday.
How are you feeling today?
This morning we are going to start with our tricky word warmup.
Can you read the words below for your adult?
it in is an into so he no me be to we she and the my you was her your have are all they like
This morning I would like you to think about the egg that
I found in the classroom.
I looked at it today and it had some cracks in it.
I wonder why?
What do you think is going to happen?
You had lots of predictions about what was inside the egg like a dinosaur, a dragon, a unicorn, a chicken or a bird.
Do you think the mummy will be looking for it?
What do you think we should do?
How are we going to find the mummy?
Yes! I think we need to make some posters or write a note so that we can let the mummy and daddy know where it is.
Today's challenge is to make a poster that we can put up so that we can help the mummy and daddy find it.
We need to draw the egg in the picture space and write what it is, what it looks like and where we found it.
We also need to put where they can collect it from or a phone number.
Your descriptions you did yesterday will help you to do this.
Example
We could even write a little note to its grown-ups to tell them we are keeping it safe and warm in a nest.
Have Fun!

Good Afternoon Reception
How did you get on with your posters this morning?
This afternoon we are going to continue with our warmup maths. Use the song below to help you warm up.
After your warm up I would like you to think about the addition work we have been doing.
Today we are going to start to look at number bonds to ten.
We are simply going to be findng different ways to make ten.
You will need 10 objects to help you with this activity.
You will need to split up the objects as many different ways as you can to find what two amounts added together make a total of 10.
How many different ways can you find to make 10?
Can you write the addition sentences for each one?
I have also added the number bonds song (below) for you to sing along to and learn your number bonds to ten. There is and a game for you to play on topmarks.
Adults- There is also a link to a video to help explain if you need it.
Final Challenge
Chinese New Year
This week in school we would be learning about Chinese New Year.
The Chinese calendar changes for a different animal each year and there are twelve in total.
I have added the story of the great race below for you so that you can find out how each year was named after a different animal.
Once you have read it, I would like you to draw, write or cut out, the animals and put them in the order they were placed in the race.
I have added some links to videos for you to watch the story.
Have a lovely afternoon.
Mrs. Martin
