Year 5

Archie's Challenge Grid

KS2 Young Leaders Award

Our Year 5 children have been chosen to take part in the KS2 Young Leaders Award organised be the Archbishop of York Youth Trust. This is a real privilege and a very exciting opportunity for our children to be actively involved in activities based on Leadership Skills, Inspirational Leaders, Local Community, National Community, Global Community and Community in Action.

The motto of the project is 'Be the change that you want to see'. There is a catchy song with actions that you might have heard your child singing at home! 'Archie Bishop' is the fictional character that represents the project in a child-friendly and inspirational way.

Please ask your child to tell you about what they have been doing throughout this fantastic project or pop in and see the scrapbook we are compiling. The children have begun with maturity, positivity and enthusiasm and I am confident that they will continue to rise to the challenges as we progress further.
