Autumn 1- Groovy Greeks

Greek Day

On 22nd September, Year 5 took part in a living History Ancient Greek day. This involved dance, role-play, drama, art, craft and dressing-up. It was lots of fun and we learnt lots about our topic.

We used role play to generate ideas for writing based on The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.

As part of our 'Locks and Quays' topic about Salford Quays regeneration, we ordered a timeline of events from 1896 to the present day.

Our visit to The Lowry and Salford Quays - what a great trip! We visited the Lowry Exhibition and took part in an art workshop based on Industrial Landscapes. After lunch, we looked at the regeneration of Salford Quays. As always, the children were amazing and a pleasure to be with.
