A Message from the Headteacher

Welcome to the website of St Peter’s CE, a happy, healthy, successful primary school where our fantastic children are nurtured as individuals within the fellowship of the school and church community.

At St Peter’s we have a very simple mission statement –

Together We Believe, Aspire And Achieve

which sums up our ethos as follows:

Together – represents our collective spirit of teamwork and community

Believe – represents our faith as a C of E school and our belief in ourselves and each other

Aspire – represents our aims and hopes for our children’s future and that of their many communities

Achieve – represents our desire to allow every child to flourish, whatever their starting point, and to encourage the holistic development of the ‘rounded child’.

The staff and governors of St Peter’s have a very clear vision of inclusive education in which every child is encouraged to succeed and does so thanks to our broad, balanced and enriching curriculum and our extensive range of free-to-all extra-curricular activities.

This vision is based upon strongly held Christian values which reflect our rights and responsibilities in modern Britain. The children thrive on the spiritual, moral, social and cultural guidance they receive from the school and church and, as a result, make excellent progress socially and academically, equipping them to become the good citizens and leaders of tomorrow. Our families support this vision strongly and parents/carers work closely in partnership with us for the good of the child.
