BARTON AIRPORT TRIP!
Wow! What an incredible day it's been. To celebrate the end of our 'Up, Up and Away!' topic we visited Barton Airport today to find out more about flight and how an airport is managed. Our wonderful guides Steve and Jean took us around the airport to meet lots of cool people. We met the air traffic controllers, engineers, some pilots and the fire and rescue team. We visited different hangers and looked at and discussed a range of aircrafts. We were even allowed to sit in an aeroplane and control parts of the wings and tails. What an incredible and interesting day!
As part of our 'London's Burning' topic, year two baked their own tasty bread, following a set of instruction from the olden days.
Hello parents, carers and children!
Welcome to the Year 2 new class page 2016-2017.
So far Year 2 have had a great time taking part in Roald Dahl activities and in our school's Dahlicious Dress Up Day!
Our trip to The Manchester Jewish Museum was really interesting too.
At the moment we're enjoying our 'Great Fire of London' topic and are looking forward to the Fire Brigade coming to school in October.
