Welcome to Y3 Class of 2017-2018
In year 3 we do lots of exciting things, take a look here on our class page at some of the wonderful work we have been doing!
Today we were visited by Ranger Rob and Ash who brought a variety of different reptiles and animals for us to see. We learnt lots of interesting facts about all the animals and as we were feeling super brave, we were able to handle them as well. You were so brave today Year 3 I am am very proud of you. We now realise that there is no need to be scared of these wonderful creatures.
Today we were lucky enough to be visited by Jenna Downing the Inline Skating World Champion. She delivered a really inspirational assembly, and then this afternoon she led an amazing skating session. All the children were superstars, some skating for the very first time and most of them even had a go at skating over the mini ramp. Well done Year 3 I am so proud of you all. You fell, you got up and you smiled throughout. :)
We all had a fantastic day today at Martin Mere Round House experiencing life as Celts and Romans.
This term we have our PE lessons on a Tuesday and Wednesday so can you please make sure that all children have their PE kit in school on those days. Thank you.

The Bee and Me By Alison Jay
To Celebrate World Book Day, we read the picture book The Bee and Me. We loved the illustrations and this inspired us to write our own words to go with the pictures. We hope you enjoy reading our stories as much as we enjoyed writing them.
Science is fun.
We enjoyed our science lesson on mirrors. We started off by mirroring our partners actions. We had a go at writing our name backwards so when we looked in the mirror we could read it. We then used mirrors to write secret messages to each other and used the mirror to read the reflected message. After that we went out on to the playground and used the mirrors to reflect the image of a wobbly line. We had to follow the line by ONLY looking in the reflection on the mirror. Some of us found this quite tricky but we all did really well! Have a look at our slideshow of pictures.
Our Amazing Roman Assembly!
We really enjoyed performing our Class Assembly about the Romans. We have loved learning about the Romans and have learnt so many interesting facts that we were excited to share with you. We hope you enjoyed it and learnt lots of things too!
We all had fun dressing up and sharing our favourite books on World Book day. 01.03.18
