We have had a very exciting and busy start to 2018. We have spent time learning about different types of bears and their habitats. We read lots of stories about bears and we learned lots of facts about them too. Here are some of the activities we have done...
We made beautiful pictures of bears in dens.
We read the story 'Bear hunt' and then we re-told it in the small world area.
We learned about polar bears and we made ice dens for them out of sugar cubes
Teddy bear maths, a counting game on the IAW.
We read the story's 'Dear Bear' and 'The Bear Under The Stairs'. Both are about children who think a bear is living in a cupboard in their house. We discovered that we had a bear living in our stock cupboard and so we decided to write to him
We wrote to him...
...and posted the letters under the door.
He wrote back and told us it was his birthday.
We made him cards and play-dough cakes.
We read stories about bears.
We had a teddy bears picnic.

Father Christmas came to visit
The Silent Songbird (Theatre group visit)
On Monday 4th December Lynne Ashworth came into early years to read us some Christmas stories. The stories were fantastic and we enjoyed listening to them, answering questions and joining in! Some of our parents came to join in too.
Why not join us at our stay and play drop-in? Every Friday 9 am - 10 am
