We had such a fun day scooting! We managed to jump on the scooters and all did a LOT of dancing.
Playing Quidditch! This was St Peter's take on the very famous game from the film Harry Potter.
We have been looking at plants in science, so far we have planted Cress, two Bonsai Trees, Cacti and Giant Sunflowers - we have been busy gardeners in Year 2!
We have been looking at the book Greta and the Giants in English, we have absolutely loved the book and have been enthralled by learning about everything climate change. To embed our learning, we decided to go on a learning walk, to see climate change in our local area. We, unfortunately, found a lot of things needed to change, litter, lots of cars on the road and chopped down trees. Year 2 then made the decision that they wanted to give up their second break to go back outside and collect the litter from around the school. Well done Year 2 for being so conscientious and understanding what an important issue climate change is!
In maths we have been working SO hard on addition and subtraction - you should check us out, we are little mathematicians now.
In art, we made protest banners, to protest in front of our school about climate change. We absolutely LOVED it and loved seeing all the other children join in with us, "save our world, save our world!"
Butttttttttt, we did have to have a little bit of fun with all the cardboard we had before making all the protest banners!
